Meet the Team

He then attended veterinary school at Louisiana State University where he graduated in 1993 and received the Upjohn Award for Clinical Proficiency in Large Animal medicine. Dr Vaughn moved to Little Rock and purchased what was formerly Jacksonville-Cabot Animal Clinic in April of 2016. Dr. Vaughn has two dogs, Sam, an Australian Shepard, and Boliver, a Jack Russel. In his spare time, you can find him on his favorite cutting horse, Poppy. Dr Vaughn's other interest include collecting old spurs, spending time with family, western books, and basketball. He is excited for the new transition in ownership and to be part of the Timber Trails Animal Hospital family! Dr. Vaughn will be at TTAH on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Dr. Carol Rowland

  • We're thrilled to introduce Dr. Rowand, who's bringing a world of experience and a love for all creatures great and small to our team!

Originally hailing from the scenic hills of western Maryland, Dr. Rowand has quite the journey. She earned her bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science and a master's in Plant Pathology and Microbiology at the University of Arizona. But she didn't stop there-she took her passion for animal care across the Atlantic to Dublin, Ireland, where she earned her BVM&S (equivalent to a DVM) at University College Dublin.

After her Irish adventure, Dr. Rowand returned to the States, working as a mobile vet in Arizona before making her way to Arkansas. Here, she dived into general practice and lent her expertise to a shelter in Saline County, focusing on high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter (HQHVSN) services.

Dr. Rowand has a special soft spot for feline medicine and exotic pets-so if your kitty or rare reptile needs a check-up, she's your go-to! When she's not caring for your pets, you might find her deep into a good book or conquering a video game quest.

And speaking of pets, Dr. Rowand has quite the furry (and scaly) family of her own. She's got eight cats-Willow, Miya, Tiki, Dax, Bug, Ibiza, Calix, and Ruby-along with her three dogs, Seamus and Kai (Shiba Inus), and Ailbhe (German Shepherd). Let's not forget Aaron, her beloved kingsnake!

Dr. Emily Beaty

  • Originally from Memphis, TN, Dr. Beaty brings a wealth of experience and passion to our team. She earned her Bachelors in Animal and Dairy Science and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University.

Dr. Beaty began her career with the USDA in Georgia, discovered her love for shelter medicine in South Carolina, and eventually made her way to Arkansas to be closer to family. Here in Arkansas, she has honed her skills in high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter and emergency medicine.

Her special interests include shelter medicine, dermatology, and Fear Free feline care. When she's not caring for your pets, Dr. Beaty enjoys gardening, puzzles, and crocheting. She's also the proud pet parent of a chinchilla named Nox, four cats (Lyla Marie, Sir Fitzgerald Catsby, Amber Rose, and Cooter Junior aka CJ), and two dogs (Sunny Rae and Napoleon Jane).

Join us in giving Dr. Beaty a warm welcome to Timber Trails!

In 2016, he was awarded one of the Arkansas Veterinary Foundation Scholarships and graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. Dr. Bell & his family currently lives in Hickory Plains with five dogs; Hank and June (Redbone Coonhounds), Bo and Stetson (Border Collies), and Willow (Chocolate Lab).
